Etsyversary and One Lovely Blog Award!

Today is the 1st anniversary of my first store in Etsy. Even tough this past year seems like it was quick, I see a looooot when I take a look back at the friends I have made, things I have learned and I have shared. I learn a lot from Etsy. It helped in so many ways. It is also a fact that I have given to etsy a lot as well. I am very happy with this deal. I suppose I’ll be around as long as the Etsy is here. That’s why I wish many more years together.

Etsy'de ilk dükkanımı açalı bugün tam 1 yıl oldu. Bu bir yıl çok hızlı geçmiş gibi görünse de, geçirdiğim aşamalara, öğrendiklerime, dünyanın her yerinden edindiğim onlarca arkadaşa ve geldiğim noktaya baktığımda, geri döndüğümde çok uzuuuuun bir yıl görüyorum. Etsy'den çok şey öğrendim. Bana bir çok katkısı oldu. Şu da var ki ben de Etsy'ye çok şey kattım:)Ben bu alışverişten çok memnunum. Etsy yerinde durduğu sürece ben de sanırım onda kalmaya devam edeceğim. Onun için birlikteliğimizin nice mutlu yıllar sürmesini diliyorum.

My Turquoise Passion

Turquoise is one of my favorite colors and I have mentioned about it on my last blog entry as well. I also said that I have made a new ring and I was going to show it later. Now that ring is ready to go and I want to inform you about it more.

Turquoise Passion Flower Ring

Turqoise is a mixture of blue and green in terms of color. It gives peace and nice feelings whoever looks at it. The colour of the turquoise makes us feel happy and cheerful, for in it the light blue of the sky and the stimulating green of the sea are combined. Indeed it is such an inimitable colour that we have coined a term specifically for it in our languages: turquoise. Anyone choosing a turquoise is sure to enjoy a piece of Heaven ... on Earth.

It is the dominant color in ceramic tile art at Seljuk and Ottoman ages.It is still widely used in ceramic and tile works.

The turquoise is ancient, yet again and again it finds itself back in fashion. Its shining sky blue is one of the most popular trend colours in the world of jewellery and fashion. In many cultures of the Old and New Worlds, this gemstone has been esteemed for thousands of years as a holy stone, a bringer of good fortune or a talisman. In earlier times, turquoises were even responsible for the material wellbeing of the wearer. The Persian scholar Al-Qazwini, for example, wrote: 'The hand that wears a turquoise and seals with it will never see poverty.

In modern gemstone therapy, those suffering from depression are recommended to wear a turquoise or a chain with turquoise beads. The turquoise' cheerful colour is said to endow reticent personalities with more confidence. It is also often given as a gift, a stone of friendship, for the turquoise is said to be responsible for faithfulness and constancy in relationships.

The blue comes from copper, the green from iron

Turquoise should be protected from cosmetics, heat and bright light. It is not a gemstone to take with you when you go sunbathing. It is best to give it a clean from time to time with a soft cloth.

Turkuaz antik bir renk olmasına rağmen moda dünyasındaki yerini ve önemini korumayı başarabilmiştir. Parlayan mavi rengi moda dünyasının gözde renklerinden biri olmaya devam etmektedir.
Birçok kültürde bu taşın şans getirici ve kutsal taş olarak kabul edildiği görülmüştür.Turkuaz ilk dönemlerde takana getirdiği şans ve iyiliklerden dolayı meşhur olmuştur. Pers bilim adamı Al-Qazwini dediği gibi: Turkuazı taşıyan el yoksulluk ve zorluk çekmez.

Modern taş terapisinde depresyondaki insanlara önerilen bu taşın, insanın kişiliğini kuvvetlendirdiği de söylenir. Bazen hediye olarak verilirken, arkadaşlığın bir simgesi ve ilişkideki sürekliliğinin de göstergesidir.

Eğer bir turkuaz taşlı takınız varsa, onu kozmetiklerinizden, sıcaktan ve çok parlak ışıktan korumalısınız. Plaja güneşlenmeye giderken takabileceğiniz bir takı olmadığını da aklınızdan çıkarmayın. Ara sıra yumuşak bir bezle silebilirsiniz.

After I started to get involved with Etsy, I also started to add the items and shops I like to my favorites. One of them is the handmade colorful books from Kreativlink. Notebooks has always excited me. You can write many things, take notes or doodle any thing, there are no limits and you can add a lot of memories. They are empty, they say whatever you write in them and reflect. Just like the life you are living. Kreativlink's notebooks were a lot different. They were made one by one by hand by a lot of thinking neatly. The other day I couldn’t resist to own one of these lovely notebooks and I ordered. Surprisingly it has arrived in 3-4 days. I still wonder how did it arrive this fast.





From the envelope, there were two packages and a pencil. I couldn’t open the packages for a while. But I can say that the notebooks look prettier than on the picture. The feeling you get after you touch them is very different.

From the little package, there was a clay work that Renate did as an experiment. Renate I am telling you, you can and should start jewellery :) You have made a really creative pendant. Thank you very much:) By the way I am waiting you as an asistan for me at metalworks:)





This is not the whole story of the week but I’ll try to catch up with it at next posts.


Dün, çok güzel bir blog ödülüne layık görüldüğümü öğrendim. RecreationalArt bloguma yorum bırakarak Kreativ Blogger Award verdiği bloggerlardan biri olduğumu bildirdi. Gerçekten çok yaratıcı, canlı ve renkli bloglardan birine sahip bir bloggerdan bu ödülü almış olmak benim için hem sürpriz oldu hem de çok mutlu etti. Onun blogunu mutlaka ziyaret etmenizi öneririm.



Yapmaktan hoşlandığım şeyler burda saymakla bitmez ama en çok hoşlandığım 7 şey:

1. Egenin tertemiz masmavi sularında hiç bir şey düşünmeden sırt üstü uzanmak
2. Sıcacık altın sarısı kumlarda yürümek
3. İyi yapılmış bir margarita
4. Oğlumla başbaşa bir yerlere gitmek, sohbet etmek, şakalaşmak.
5. Yoga yapmak
6. Spritüel kitaplar okumak
7. Eşimle sohbet ederek yemek yemek.

Etsy'yle ilgilenmeye başladıktan sonra, dikkatimi çeken, hoşuma giden ürünleri, dükkanları favorilerime eklemeye başladım. Bunlardan biri de Kreativlink'in dükkanındaki çeşit çeşit rengarenk, irili ufaklı el yapımı defterlerdi. Defterler beni oldum olası cezbetmiştir. İçlerine neler neler yazıp çizebilir, notlar alır, hikayeler, anılar doldurabilirsiniz. Onlar boştur, siz neyle doldurursanız onu söylerler, geri yansıtırlar. Tıpkı yaşadığınız hayat gibi. Kreativlink'in defterleri ise bir başka hoştu, onlar tek tek elde ve belli ki özenle ve düşünülerek yapılıyorlardı. Geçtiğimiz günlerde onlardan birine sahip olmak fikri artık dayanılmaz geldi ve siparişimi verdim. Aradan 3-4 gün geçmemişti ki elime ulaştı. Bu kadar hızlı nasıl geldi hala şaşırıyorum.

Zarfın içinden iki paket ve bir kurşunkalem çıktı. Bir süre paketleri açmaya kıyamadım. Defterim resimde görünenden daha güzel onu söyleyebilirim. Elinizle dokunduğunuzda verdiği his bambaşka.

Küçük pakettense Renate'nin polymer clayle yaptığı kolye denemelerinden biri çıktı. Renate sana şunu söyleyebilirim ki hemen takı yapmaya başlayabilirsin:) Harika yaratıcı bir pendant yapmışsın. Çok teşekkür ederim:) Ayrıca seni asistan olarak metalwork çalışmaya bekliyorum:)

I found this amazing turquoise picks on Flickr this week. Turquoise is my most favorite color. I'm water person I think. I missed turquoise sea of summer. I made a new design ring with turquoise stone. I'll show it to you tomorrow!

Plat Du Jour From Etsy / Etsy'den Günün Yemeği

We are going to cook meatball with Ayperi aka Periay today.


















"My mother's meatball recipe"













Ingredients:

- 1 middle sized onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- 6 branches of parsley
- 1 teaspoon of cumin
- 1 teaspoon of black
- 750 gr mince
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 egg
- 1 water glass of bread crumbs










Preperation:

1.Grate the onion and garlic
2.Wash the parsleys slice them tiny.
3.Mix all the ingredients and mould it until it is solid
4.Give the shape after it rests for a couple of minutes.
5.Either fry it in oil or cook it in the oven at 200 degrees.

My name is Ayperi I live in istanbul. After managing in different companies for years
I left with the birth of my daughter. I met ETSY one and a half year ago. Earlier I was knitting somethings and giving to my friends, family and homeless, sometimes charities or schools. Meanwhile I kept researching on sales, customer care, gold and diamond market researching in the world. Right now I am full time mother and an Etsian.



I met jewelry supply sales couple of months ago, and 1dream came out. Incredible world and I learn new things all the time but making jewelry is not for me. Being a supplier is different.








We used to have a family company . The left over supplies at our warehouse is what made me open Meliscraft at Etsy. I’m new this subject on Etsy.

Bugün Etsy'den arkadaşım Ayperi ile köfte yapıyoruz:)

Annemin Köftesi
- 1 orta boy soğan
- 1 diş sarımsak
- 6 sap maydonoz
- 1 tatlı kaşığı kimyon
- 1 tatlı kaşığı karabiber
- 750 gr 3 kez çekilmiş kıyma
- 1 tatlı kaşığı tuz
- 1 yumurta
- 1 su bardağı galeta unu, annem ekmek koyuyor. (Biraz fazla da konabilir)

Yapılışı:
1.Soğan ve sarımsak rendeleniyor
2. Maydonozlar iyice yıkanıp, minicik doğranıyor
3. Sonra tüm malzeme (Yumurta, tuz, karabiber, kimyon, galeta unu) karıştırıp iyice
yoğruluyor,
4. Biraz dinlendirip, küçük küçük parçalar koparılıp, elde yuvarlaniyor.
İstenirse yağda kızartılabilir ama ben hepsini tepsiye diziyorum ve pişiriyorum, 200
derece de ızgarada altını ve ustunu iyice kızartiyorum.

Adım Ayperi. Istanbulda yaşıyorum. Uzun yıllar değişik firmalarda yöneticilik yaptıktan sonra kızım doğunca işten ayrıldım. Birbuçuk yıl önce ETSY ile tanıştım. Daha öncesinde örgü yapıyor, eş dosta veya sokakta yaşayanlara veriyordum. Bazen de okul ve yardım kuruluşlarına veriyordum, kermeslerde satılması için. Bu arada satış ve müşteri hizmetleri bazlı danışmanlık hizmetlerimi ve dünya çapında altın, pırlanta piyasa araştırmalarıma devam ettim.Şu an full time anne ve Etsianım.

Takı malzemesi satışı ile birkaç ay önce tanıştım, ve 1Dream ortaya çıktı. İnanılmaz bir dünya ve hergün yeni şeyler öğreniyorum ama takı yapmak benden çok uzak. Malzemeci olmak farklı bir şey.

Meliscraft ise geçmiş dönemde tekstil alanında bir aile şirketimiz vardı. Depomuzda kalan malzemeler, beni onları satmak fikrine götürdü. Profesyonel anlamda deneyimim çok ama ETSY'de bu konuda çok yeniyim. .
